Free Home Energy Seminar Announced

HOME ENERGY & WEATHERIZATION ANNOUNCE FREE INFORMATIONAL SEMINAR

Paterson, NJ – The Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders is pleased to announce a FREE INFORMATIONAL SEMINAR to provide a better understanding for all our energy based assistance programs and how Passaic County residents can benefit. The heating season is upon us and Passaic County’s Office of Home Energy & Weatherization is accepting assistance applications so families across the county can be receive help for the seasonally high winter heating bills.

As a community official, local government administrator, or as an activist in your community; Passaic County is announcing an open invite to come and learn about the services provided to our residents through the Passaic County Home Energy Assistance Office and how it directly connects with how you serve your community.

The Home Energy Division administers the LIHEAP & USF programs, which provides financial assistance for those in need … the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program is designed to help seniors and other low-income families make energy bills more affordable for low income families. Low-income eligible households that are having difficulty paying their electric, natural gas, oil and other deliverable fuel bills can contact this office for a financial assistance application.

Passaic County’s Home Energy & Weatherization Division administers the HIP & WAP programs which enables seniors, and other low-income families to permanently reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient. Homes receive a thorough evaluation of the heating system, insulation and windows as well as health and safety testing of all combustion appliances. Local licensed and insured private sector weatherization contractors complete the work at NO COST TO THE RESIDENT. Residents can contact this office for information or an application for weatherizing their homes.

Your commitment to your citizens has always been to address the local needs of your people. The Division of Home Energy & Weatherization can help you better serve your community. We are organizing a FREE INFORMATIONAL SEMINAR to provide a better understanding for all our energy based programs and how your residents can benefit.

The seminar will take place on October 6th and/or 7th at 8:30am – 10:30am. The session will only be couple hours, however, we are offering two dates for your convenience. You can contact our office for more information …

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps keep families safe and healthy through initiatives that assist families with energy costs. We provide federally funded assistance in managing costs associated with:
• HOME ENERGY BILLS
• ENERGY CRISES
• WEATHERIZATION AND ENERGY-RELATED HOME REPAIRS

We would like to help you by building a relationship between our office and your organization. It would be our great honor if you can attend this seminar. In the case that your schedule does not allow you to attend; we would appreciate if you can appoint one of your distinguished colleagues to represent your Community/Organization. We believe it will provide an enriching experience for all of the participants.
