Passaic County Community Transportation Coordination Study

Welcome to the project website for the Passaic County Community Transportation Coordination Study. Community transportation services in Passaic County include a wide variety of specialized transportation services for seniors, persons with disabilities and people with low income. Under current conditions, these specialized services all operate independently, and in many instances vehicles can be operating in the same general area during the same time periods – leading to a situation of service overlap.
One purpose of the coordination study was to examine the potential for improving transportation by eliminating service overlaps whenever possible. Another purpose was to identify transportation needs that are not being served by the current set of community transportation providers, and determine whether these needs can be addressed through improved coordination.
We encourage you to use this site to learn about the project and our findings and recommendations for improved community transportation services, and welcome your comments and feedback. We are also asking you to provide your insight and any personal experience regarding trips that you or your family/friends could not make using the current community transportation system. |
