Senior, Disability Services, & Veterans’ Affairs Passaic County’s Department of Senior, Disability Services, & Veterans’ Affairs brings together a number of divisions that have a daily impact on the lives of the populations they serve.
The Department of Senior Services provides and coordinates numerous services and sponsors many activities for the county’s senior citizens. Services provided include transportation and assisted transportation, housecleaning, certified home health aides, telephone contacts, both social and medical adult day care programs and legal services. Activities for seniors include educational activities, social events, health fairs, and trips.

lead NJ EASE County Agency, the department coordinates and provides
information and assistance,...care management services, insurance counseling
(SHIP) and advocacy on behalf of Passaic County's senior citizens.

The Division of Disability Services provides information and assistance, advocacy, legal assistance, employment services and home based services to disabled residents in Passaic County.
The Passaic County Para Transit Program maintains a fleet of vehicles, which provide transportation for the county’s senior citizens and disabled residents in need of non-emergency rides to medical appointments, shopping centers, county run nutrition and adult day care sites, and for the disabled residents to attend group work programs. Passaic County’s Division of Nutrition Services provides congregate meals, nutrition education, nutrition counseling and home delivered meals through the Meals on Wheels program for the residents of the county.

The Passaic County Adult Day Care Center is a social program that provides supervision for adults in a protective setting that offers daily recreational and craft activities, educational and health programs. Breakfast and lunch are served daily and transportation is available.

The Division of Veterans’ Affairs offers a wealth of information and services to Passaic County’s Veterans and their families.
The newest service available to veterans in our area is The Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs Community Based Outreach Clinic. This medical clinic is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. If necessary, transportation to the facility can be arranged through the County’s Para Transit Program. Para Transit also provides transportation on Mondays and Tuesdays for county residents who are outpatients at the Veterans Administration Hospital in East Orange.
