September 25th - TAKE NOTICE, the Passaic County Board of Taxation has received notification from Records Management Services from the Department of the Treasury for the State of New Jersey that a review and evaluation of the image processing system currently in use for tax assessment records has been completed and an application for registration of said image system for the keeping of public records has been submitted, per P.L. 1994, c.140, and N.J.A.C. 15:3-4 and 5.

Copies of the completed application are available for viewing and examination by the public at the office of the Tax Board, located 435 Hamburg Tpke in Wayne. Business hours are Monday thru Friday (excluding State holidays) from 8:30am to 4:30pm. 


Please be advised that the Planning Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2017 is hereby CANCELLED.  The Board meetings take place at 930 Riverview Drive, Suite 250, Totowa, at 5:00 PM.  The remaining dates for the Passaic County Planning Board meetings are as follows:

TAKE NOTICE that the County of Passaic Planning & Economic Development Department, along with County Counsel’s office, will hold two (2) public hearings pursuant to NJSA 40A:12-13 and NJSA 40:12-13.1-13.5, proposing to dispose of an approximate one-quarter acre (0.2468 acres) of Passaic County-owned land known as Block 604, Lot 18 in the Township of Wayne. Block 604, Lot 18 is immediately adjacent to 100 Dey Road (Block 604, Lot 17.01) a property owned by Clac, LLC. The purpose of this proposed disposal is to provide Clac, LLC with much needed parking for the employees of its tenant. While Block 604, Lot 18 is a small parcel and technically part of the Passaic County-owned Golf Course known as Preakness Valley Golf Course, it is several hundred yards from the outskirts of the Course and physically separated from the Course by Dey Road. The parcel does not function as part of the golf course. This land, however, is part of the holdings of the County of Passaic and, as such, is subject to the above referenced statute.

As compensation for the proposed diversion, Clac, LLC will compensate the County of Passaic $35,000 in accordance with the value determined through an independent appraisal.  In addition, replacement or compensation land for this disposal, as required by Green Acres’ rules, has been identified as Block 123, Lot 1 (0.365 acres) and Block 124, Lot 1 (0.766 acres) in the Borough of Woodland Park, at the intersection of Browertown Road and Lackawanna Avenue.  This replacement land surrounds Block 129, Lot 5 (the former bed of the Morris Canal), a park in Woodland Park, and will expand the park by a total of 1.13 acres. 


A copy of the report required via this statute is available for review at the County of Passaic Planning & Economic Development Department office, 930 Riverview Drive, Suite 250, Totowa, NJ.

The public is invited to physically appear and offer comment and/or provide written comment on this said proposal. The period for the public to provide written comments will commence upon receipt of this Notice and shall remain open until two weeks after the second Public Hearing, which will be the close of business on Thursday, December 14, 2017.
