New Jersey Department of Health Ebola Call Center:  1-800-962-1253

The Passaic County Department of Health (PCDH), as an agent of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, ensures compliance with state statues and regulations governing air, water, noise, solid waste and hazardous materials pollution. The PCDH also assists in coordinating response to regional health issues such as West Nile Virus, Anthrax and H1N1.

The Industrial Hygiene Program is designed to recognize environmental and occupational factors and stresses associated with work practices.

The PCDH is designated by the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services as the official LINCS site in the County of Passaic. LINCS is a communication system that allows for rapid time dissemination of critical public health information to health departments, hospitals, police, Offices of Emergency Management, and other community agencies. The PCDH has a Bioterrorism Surveillance Team which is responsible for educating health care providers about bioterrorism and other emerging infectious diseases.
