NOTICE TO BIDDERS / LEGAL NOTICE


NOTICE is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received on Tuesday, September 26th, 2017 at 10:30 AM by the County of Passaic, on the Second Floor of the Passaic County Procurement Center, located at 495 River Street, Paterson, NJ, 07524 for the following:

Project C-17-017 Restoration & Rehabilitation of the Vanderhoef House – Clifton, NJ

The work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the specifications and as shown on the construction plans.

The principal items of work to be constructed:

Base Bid Items
1. General Construction and Renovation of Vanderhoef House
*Please include Allowance Items A&B as per Specification Section 012100 Part 3- 3.3

Base Bid + Alternate Items
1. Alternate No. 1 – Eliminate 100% of masonry repointing of all elevations and retain repointing brownstone masonry as shown on exterior elevations
2. Alternate No. 2 – Eliminate the brick walk from future parking are to front entrance doors

1. Pre-bid Walkthrough Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM
2. Questions submitted Thursday, September 14, 2017 by 4:00 PM
3. Questions answered Tuesday, September 19, 2017 by 4:00 PM
4. Bid opening Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 10:30 AM
Proposals, Plans, and Specifications may be obtained by pickup at the Passaic County Procurement Center, Second Floor, 495 River Street, Paterson, New Jersey, 07524, during regular business hours (8:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.). Proposals must be submitted on the forms supplied along with 2 additional copies.

Copies of said bidding documents may be obtained upon payment of FIFTY DOLLARS ($ 50.00), payment may be made by Certified Check, Cashier's Check, Money Order or Business Check ONLY. NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. Bidding Documents, Plans and Specifications WILL NOT be mailed. However, overnight delivery by FedEx can be accommodated at bidder’s cost.
Proposals must be received at the hour designated in this advertisement at the Procurement Center. The County of Passaic is not responsible for bids delivered or otherwise not arriving on time.
The proposal must be accompanied by all documents required by the conditions and specifications for submitting a proposal. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. & P.L. 1975, C. 127, (N.J.A.C. 17:27-5.2) et seq.
The Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Passaic reserves the right to consider the BID PROPOSALS for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof; and further reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, waive informalities, and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the County.
