Freeholder Deputy Director Pat Lepore

Freeholder
Pat Lepore was elected in November of 2004. Freeholder Lepore is
also serving his third term as the Mayor of West Paterson .
Growing up in Paterson, the Mayor graduated from
St. Joseph's High School.
Pat and his wife, Linda, have been proud to call the Borough of
West Paterson home for the past 31 years. Their son, Robert, is
currently on active duty as a United States Marine, and they are
very proud that their son has continued the family tradition of
service to his country and community. As Freeholder Lepore very
proudly commented at his swearing in, "My son's public service,
far exceeds my own".
Upon election to the Freeholder Board, Pat
retired as a Sales Representative for the Entenmann's Division
of George Weston Bakeries, but remains a member the IBT Union,
Local 802 located in Long Island City, New York.
Mayor Pat Lepore's commitment to public service
is evident in his many accomplishments and dedication to both
West Paterson and Passaic County.
Pat has served West Paterson as a member of their
Planning Board, Municipal Alliance, the Alfred H. Baumann
Library Board, the Office of Emergency Management, and the Board
of Education Bond Referendum Committee.
Pat's first experience as an elected official was
serving as a Councilman from 1995-1996. However, he has not
confined himself to just serving West Paterson and is pleased to
serve all of the residents of Passaic County as a member of
Passaic County's Vision 2020, Inc. and the Passaic County 200
Club. Pat is extremely proud of his tenure as Chairman of the
Passaic County Utilities Authority, where, without cost to
County taxpayers, he was able to drastically reduce by 1/3 the
total $100 million debt incurred by the County Authority.
Pat Lepore will act as the Chairman of the Human
Services Committee in 2006 and a member of the Human Services
and Administration & Finance Committees.
He also serves on the Passaic County Board of
Social Services.
Freeholder Pat Lepore has continued to
demonstrate his ability to lead and to make tough decisions that
are sometimes necessary. His commitment to the public good and
the people he serves is evident in every aspect of his public
service career. Pat seeks to continue his path of service to the
people of Passaic County as a member of the Board of Chosen
Freeholders with the goals of making Passaic County the best it
can be and to be sure that County Government continues to be
responsive and responsible to the residents of the County.
