Art Walk Program
The County of Passaic is beginning to host a series of Art Walks in downtown areas. An Art Walk is a one-day event (or mulitple if you choose) that supports local community and economic development through the engagement of local artists, galleries, small businesses, students, and families. Art of all types is displayed in storefronts of local businesses and restaurants, and throughout the downtowns with a central area for performances and meet and greets. We hope to bring a diverse assortment of artwork to represent our diverse communities. These are excellent opportunities for local artists to exhibit and sell work, while bringing awareness to local business districts. For more information or to particpaite in the program, please contact the Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs.

Shakespeare in the Park Program
The County of Passaic is holding an inaugural season of Shakespeare in the Park, which will include four events over the summer of 2018. Partially funded by a grant from the Passaic County Cultural & Heritage Council, the County is working with the Hudson Shakespeare Company to perform at each of these performances.
Hudson Shakespeare Company is a nonprofit performing organization that was established in 1992 and is known for using some of the best young and experienced actors, directors and crew from the tristate area who strive to bring the classics and contemporary theater to venues in New Jersey and the greater Tri-State area. The company has produced a wide range of titles from the Bard to modern theater in a variety of outdoor and indoor venues from city parks to courtrooms, and aims to uphold its mission to give the audience the best theatrical experience possible. The Company performs at several locations (i.e. Hoboken, Jersey City, Kenilworth, Secaucus and South Orange etc.) during their summer festival season and is always striving to expand its current touring base.
