The Juvenile Administration Division receives County, State and Federal (JJC) funding to administer programs for the Passaic County Family Court (youth detention and juvenile detention alternative programs). Additionally, this division operates the Youth Services Commission (YSC) which serves as the planning body for the development of programs for at-risk and low-income youth. Programs include High Supervision, Home Detention, Human Services Advocacy Program (HSAP), Total Life, Evening Reporting Center Program (ERC), Police Stationhouse Adjustment programs (Paterson and Passaic), GED, summer employment, gang education, career mentoring programs, individual & family counseling, substance abuse and sexual therapy, as well as job training and employment programs for the youth. Referrals for these services generally come from Family Court, schools, youth case managers, community providers, and probation departments. However, any parent or guardian interested in receiving these services may appear in person at the Human Services Department or contact the Juvenile Administrator.
