                                *IMPORTANT NOTICE*
                                        EARLY VOTING

Passaic County voters who wish to vote ahead of the
November 8, 2016 Election Day may apply to vote on
the paper Vote by Mail ballot.  Voters may come to the
Passaic County Clerk's offices, located at 401
Grand Street, Paterson and 1237 Ringwood Avenue,
Haskell (Wanaque), during regular business hours
to apply for their Vote by Mail paper ballot.  Our
office hours  are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to
4:00 p.m. with extended hours at  the Paterson office
(401 Grand Street) on Tuesday, October 25th from 4:30 p.m.
to 7:00 p.m.. Our offices will also be open on Saturday,
October 29th  and November 5th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
for voters to come in and  apply for their paper Vote by
Mail ballot.  Voters are responsible for returning their
voted ballot to the Passaic County Board of Elections
Office which is also  located at 401 Grand Street, Room 123,
in Paterson.

 and Expedited applications are taking 3 weeks to process.***

  In order to better serve the needs of Passaic County residents,
Kristin M. Corrado, Esq. is pleased to announce more convenient
and extended hours. The Clerk’s Paterson Office located at 401
Grand Street, Room 130, will now be open Monday through Friday
from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.  The Clerk’s office processes passport applications, files business trade names, administers Notary Oaths
and issues Veteran ID cards.  Please arrive at the office no later
than 4:00 p.m. so that our staff can assist you with any

transaction.  For additional hours and locations, please check
our Outreach Sites and Services calendar.

The Records Vault and Map Room, which are located at
77 Hamilton Street, will also be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesdays.

The hours for our Recording office and Wanaque Satellite office will
remain at 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.   Please arrive at the office no
later than 4:00 p.m. so that our staff can assist you with any

The County Clerk's Office is a constitutional office as set forth in the New Jersey State Constitution. In Passaic County the office is comprised of the County Clerk Division, which includes the Election Division and Registry of Deeds Division. 


The County Clerk's office is located in the Passaic County Administration Building in Paterson and our Satellite office is located in Haskell (Wanaque) (Click here for additional information). Services are also provided throughout the County on a rotating basis.   • $16,673,088.26  total fees  collected in 2015. 
  • 8,866 Deeds and 13,056 Mortgages were Recorded in 2015.
  • 9,284 Passports were processed in 2015.
  • 3,781 Veteran's Id Cards have been processed.
  • 1,574 Weddings were perfomed since 2010 and 287 were performed   
    in 2015.
