Please be advised that the Planning Board meeting scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2017 is hereby CANCELLED.  The Board meetings take place at 930 Riverview Drive, Suite 250, Totowa, at 5:00 PM.  The remaining dates for the Passaic County Planning Board meetings are as follows:

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

PASSAIC COUNTY, NEW JERSEY

CDBG Program

Notice is hereby given that Passaic County, NJ in accordance with the Citizen Participation Plan, will hold a public meeting on February 2, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Passaic County Department of Planning and Economic Development, Suite 250, 930 Riverview Drive, Totowa, NJ.  The purpose of the meeting is to share information on how to complete the FY 2018 CDBG application to request funding, HUD rules and requirements governing CDBG funding and obtain input on the County's housing and community development needs.

Municipalities or Agencies wishing to request CDBG funding must do so in writing by 4:00 p.m. March 13, 2018.  The County intends to submit its application for FY 2018 funds to HUD on or about July 13, 2018.  The County anticipates that its FY 2018 CDBG Program allocation will be $700,000, but allocation figures are not yet known.  Funds may be allocated to projects in the eleven participating communities of the County: Bloomingdale, Haledon, Hawthorne, Little Falls, North Haledon, Pompton Lakes, Prospect Park, Totowa, Wanaque, West Milford and Woodland Park and to eligible non-profit agencies serving low income populations.

All interested individuals and organizations are invited to attend this meeting and offer their comments on the housing and community development needs of the County.  Individuals who are non-English speaking or disabled and require the information in an alternate format or who require special accommodations at the public meeting, may contact the Division of Economic Development at 973-569-4720 or (TTY Users:  NJ Telecommunications Relay 7-1-1).             NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to the Open Public Meeting Act (Chapter 231, P.L. 1975), that the Passaic County Board of Taxation will hold a Special Board Meeting at the Board office located at 435 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, New Jersey, on Friday, January 26, 2018, at 9:00 a.m. to discuss an extension of filing of the Tax List for the City of Paterson and to discuss other pertinent matters that may come before the Board.

Public Information Center Meeting Notice

The County of Passaic, in cooperation with the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, and the Federal Highway Administration, will be hosting a Public Information Center meeting to inform local
residents, organizations, businesses and the general public regarding the Local Concept Development Study for the Sixth Avenue Bridge over the Passaic River located between the City of Paterson and the Boroughs of Prospect Park and Hawthorne. The purpose of the Public Information Center meeting is to inform the public of the Purpose and Need Statement and to solicit public input on the conceptual alternatives and Preliminary Preferred Alternative (PPA) for bridge improvements. The meeting is being conducted in conformance with Federal and State regulations. The public is invited and encouraged to comment on the study. All members of the general public are welcome to attend the afternoon or evening open house format meeting or both.
