Effective October 1, 2016
The Passaic County Clerk's Office will be collecting an indexing fee for any document recorded in excess of five names.  Each additional name will be charged $6.


Please be advised that tax sale certificates will be accepted in batches of 20 documents or less per check.



Important Notice:

     
Effective March 15, 2014 the Passaic County Clerk, Registry Division will no longer accept personal checks as a method of payment for the Realty Transfer Fee or the 1% Buyer/Grantee Fee.  The recording Office will only accept Attorney Trust Account Check, Title Agency Trust Account, Certified Check or Cash. 

           

        *  Any check for the amount of $10,000 or over must be certified or a money order.
        *  Names and address must be printed on checks.
        *  Checks will not be accepted with a date over ninety (90) days.
