Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Passaic County

The Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Passaic County helps the county’s diverse population improve their lives through an educational process that uses science-based knowledge. Rutgers Cooperative Extension focuses on issues and needs relating to agriculture and the environment, management of natural resources; food safety, quality and health; family stability; economic security; and youth development.

Rutgers Cooperative Extension is a partnership of three levels of government – County (Passaic County Board of Chosen Freeholders), State (Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey), and Federal (United States Department of Agriculture) that was established by the Smith-Lever Act in 1914.
