DESCRIPTION:<p>In 2018, the United Nations declared June 3 as World Bicycle Day.&nbsp; Passaic County is partnering with EZ Ride to celebrate World Bicycle Day on Saturday, June 7 at Garret Mountain Reservation in Woodland Park, NJ.&nbsp;&nbsp;<br><br><strong>9:30 AM: Learn to Ride</strong></p><p>Participants ages 6+ will learn:</p><ul>    <li>Proper helmet fitting</li>    <li>Balancing on their bicycle</li>    <li>When comfortable: pedaling</li>    <li>Starting and stopping their bike&nbsp;</li></ul><p>A parent/guardian helper is required for each child that participates.&nbsp; All participants must wear a helmet, mask, and bring a bike with pumped-up tires.&nbsp; We please ask parents to remove pedals and training wheels in advance.&nbsp; Parents are recommended to watch this video with their child the night before our activity:</p><p><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/LeUDndA8F_w" width="400" allowfullscreen="" height="300" frameborder="0"></iframe><br><br><strong></strong></p><p><strong>11 AM: Bike Safety Talk, Bike Skills Course, and Park Ride:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Children ages 8 and up will learn how to properly ride their bike on public streets including:</p><ul>    <li>Starting, stopping, scanning, &amp; hand signals</li>    <li>Turning</li>    <li>Proper helmet fitting</li>    <li>Pre-ride safety check</li>    <li>Bike handling</li>    <li>Safe riding tips.</li>    <li>NJ Traffic Laws</li></ul><p>All kids will be able to participate in a fun bike course followed by a group ride around the Garret Mountain Reservation paths to practice what they've learned.&nbsp; Child must be able to ride on their own without support for this activity.&nbsp; All participants must wear a helmet, mask, and bring a bike with pumped-up tires.&nbsp;</p>
