The Passaic County Clerk’s office, Registry Division, is seeking a highly motivated professional for a Keyboarding Clerk 1 position.  Performs routine, repetitive clerical work involving answering the telephone, attending to customers, processing of mail and other related duties as required by the department. 

Examples of work may include:

  • Provide general, routine information in person and over the telephone.
  • Key enters information into the software system.
  • Simple arithmetic calculations and tabulations.
  • Scanning documents.
  • Opens, sorts and distributes daily mail.
  • Proofreads documents and correct errors.
  • Perform tasks accurately within prescribed time frames.
  • Hand stamps, letters, receipts, and other documents.
  • Receives documents and calculates fees, screens, and assembles this information for further processing.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position.

Requirements:

Experience: Applicants will be required to demonstrate proficiency in keyboarding or typing.

License: Valid New Jersey Driver’s License required if operating for the duties of the position.
