Passaic County Parks and Recreation proudly oversees more than 16,000 acres of preserved open space, parks, trails, sports fields, and recreational facilities spread throughout the County. Our diverse parks system offers residents and visitors a wide variety of activities to enjoy, including hiking, biking, fishing, picnicking, and team sports like soccer, baseball, and basketball.
In addition to daily recreational opportunities, the Department hosts free community events year-round for County residents, such as outdoor concerts, family movie nights, seasonal festivals, nature walks, fitness classes, and educational programs for all ages. These events are designed to encourage community engagement, promote healthy lifestyles, and celebrate the natural beauty of Passaic County.
Golf enthusiasts can also enjoy the scenic and challenging Preakness Valley Golf Course, offering an exceptional experience for players of all skill levels.
