Board of Elections

Attention Voters in the City of Passaic and the Borough of Totowa.  By New Jersey Governor Executive Order No 105, the Governor has moved the Election Date of the April 21, 2020 Annual School Election to May 12, 2020.  In addition, as per executive order No 105 the Election “shall be conducted solely via vote-by-mail ballots, which will automatically be sent to all registered voters without the need for an application to receive a vote-by-mail ballot”.  There will be no polling places on May 12, 2020.

 Attention Voters in the City of Paterson.  By New Jersey Governor Executive Order No 105, the City of Paterson Municipal Election to be held on May 12, 2020“shall be conducted solely via vote-by-mail ballots, which will automatically be sent to all registered voters without the need for an application to receive a vote-by-mail ballot”.  There will be no polling places on May 12, 2020.

The Passaic County Board of Elections is tasked with overseeing a fair and open election process. The Board of Elections is responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, and placement of all board workers throughout the county. The office also canvasses and counts all mail-in ballots and provisional ballots. The Passaic County Board of Elections consists of four members, two from each party.
