This event is for our littlest Passaic County residents. On the third Monday of every month, Camp Hope will host a special guest reader to read a story while the Camp Hope dining hall staff prepares a healthy snack for everyone to enjoy!

Zumba, Summer Zumba with Katty

Zumba combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be fun and easy to do in order for Zumba participants to stick to the Zumba fitness program to achieve long-term health benefits. Zumba is not only great for the body, but it is also great for the mind. 

Cost: $5 each OR $36 for all 9 classes (a savings of $9).  


Chair Yoga, Summer AM Chair Yoga

This gentle form of yoga is practiced sitting on a chair or using a chair for support during standing poses.  Chair yoga helps increase flexibility, lung capacity, circulation and strength, improves balance, and relieves stress. 

Cost: $5 per class OR $32 for all 8 classes (a savings of $8).

Come strengthen your basketball knowledge and skills while having fun!  Each week our players will work on developing their basketball fundamentals. In addition to being coached on their skills, they will have the opportunity to put their practice into play, with scrimmages to close out each practice.

Please note: participants will be evaluated and placed in groups based on their ability, not just their age or size.



Hatha Yoga, Summer Hatha Yoga

A series of traditional yoga postures mixed with breathing techniques, with a focus on alignment and building endurance through the holding of yoga poses. Some yoga experience is a plus, as challenges will be offered, but beginners are always welcome!

Family yoga is connecting with your loved ones, and other families, with playful, joyous yoga!  Each class is a unique experience and may include individual, partner, and group poses, stories, music, and cooperative games. Bring a sense of adventure, and let’s make a yoga experience together! Parents don't need to participate, but are required to stay on premises. 

Best for ages 4 and up, but all ages welcome!

We will be hosting a large free launch day on Monday, July 19.

Come and move with us Mondays in August! This event includes 30 minutes of low-impact aquatic exercise utilizing a pool noodle (provided) for resistance. No previous skills are required; modifications are available for all abilities. T-shirts will be given out during the last class.

Little Guppies Little Guppies - Intro to Swimming

This introductory class is designed for kids who have little to no swimming experience. It will cover basic skills including learning to float, kick, and submerge in water, as well as basic water safety tips. Parents/guardians are welcome to attend the course and enter the water, but it is not required.

Over the course of one month (one class per week), students will create a three-dimensional, papier mache mermaid statue. No experience with papier mache is required.

My First Swim My First Swim

My First Swim is designed to familiarize infants and toddlers with water and swimming. This course will include basic games and activities aimed at making the water a fun and positive environment and preparing infants to take beginner swim lessons. A parent or guardian will be required to attend this course; a parent/guardian must accompany each child.

Enjoy an hour of open swim time at beautiful Camp Hope; lifeguards will be on duty for this fun-filled event that will include water games and relay races. Children & families are welcome to attend! Make sure to bring a towel and sunscreen; chairs are provided but feel bring any additional seating.

Join the dining hall staff of Camp Hope as they teach you and your little one how to make fun, seasonal recipes once a month. While the food is cooking/cooling you both will also get to work on a fun seasonal craft as well!

 - How to set up a photo for maximum impact
 - How to get great lighting in any situation.
 - iPhone-only tricks to take photos that look like they came from a DSLR
 - Tips for taking engaging portraits

The Passaic County Parks & Recreation office and the Clifton Recreation Department are teaming up with GoGo Gomez for Kids & Family to bring you the second annual Passaic County Fishing Derby!

Awards will be issued to the top fishers who catch the largest fish and most fish caught!

You must provide your own fishing equipment. Fish must be caught by hook (no nets) and the hook must be in the fish's mouth when presented for judging. Final fish must be caught by 9:45 a.m.

There will be no on-site registration permitted. Space is limited!
