Homemade Pizza Night Camp Hope, Stephen Tilton Dining Hall Friday, February 12 6 PM Admission: $15 per family Registration: Required Register Each family will get their own set of cooking supplies, equipment, and ingredients to make their own unique family pizza! Masks and social distancing will be strictly followed. The Camp Hope cooking staff will be wearing masks, gloves, and safety equipment to provide you the safest environment possible. The Passaic County Parks & Recreation Department is excited to introduce Family Night Fun to the different parks within Passaic County! On Friday nights throughout 2021, the Parks & Recreation team is designing programs to bring families together to have fun! There will be cooking classes, movie nights, game nights, concerts and so much more! |

Wild Valentine Program Virtual Program Saturday, February 13 1 PM Ages: Recommended 5 - 12, all are welcome! Admission: Free Registration: Required Register Learn how animals show love in the animal kingdom, and how its similar or different from humans. Each guest gets to create their own valentine themed bar of vegan hand-soap and a wild Valentine’s Day card. Guests will get to mix their own hot chocolate drink and take it home with them in an environmentally friendly travel cup. (Recommended for ages 5- 12, but all ages welcome!) Yoga & Reading with Bendy Bookworm Virtual Program Wednesday, March 3 10 AM Ages: 3 - 9 Admission: Free Registration: Required Register The Bendy Bookworm program is a 30 minute interactive storytime followed by a craft that usually takes anywhere from an additional 15-30 minutes (overall the entire program usually comes to about 60 minutes). Our instructor will use movement and picture books to target and practice cognition, motor, and emotional developmental skills. This class will be held virtually. Each guest will get to choose and plant their own garden nursery, and create a personalized care booklet for their plants. Forest Bathing Walks Garret Mountain Reservation Sunday, March 14 11 AM Admission: Free Registration: Required Register Forest bathing is a mindful walk in the woods with the specific intention to connect with the natural world and to gain benefit and energy from it. In other words, you are bathing in the energy of the trees, leaves, sky, and earth. Think of it as a guided, meditative, healing walk through the forests of Garret Mountain Reservation. Groups will meet at the boathouse parking lot. This event will be hosted by Gerti Schoen: Gerti Schoen is a psychotherapist, spiritual counselor, and forest therapy guide in NYC and NJ. Over the past 20 years, she has studied eco-feminist spirituality, mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral approaches, Eastern philosophy, energy healing, nature connection, dreamwork, and shamanic practices, and has come to greatly appreciate how much these teachings help in the healing process. |

Creative Movement with Wiggle & Giggle Virtual Program Tuesday, April 6 10 AM Ages: 3 - 6 Admission: Free Registration: Required Register This class is specifically designed for our youngest dancers! In this class children will use their imaginations while developing coordination, rhythm and listening skills through fun activities. Littles will be introduced to movement fundamentals and different types of music, while working on gross motor skills. Join us as we move like animals, dance to the music, and giggle through class. Admission: Free Registration: Required Register Water is something that connects all living things on this Earth. Water travels through rivers, lakes, forests, and even through plants and animals! Join us for an incredible journey around the world as a single droplet of water to better understand the importance of this resource. Each guest will create their own water cycle bracelet and meet some ambassador animals that depend on clean water for survival. (Recommended for ages 5- 12, but all ages welcome!) |

Our hike leader will lead everyone through Apshawa Preserve pointing out the different types of trees and the roles they play in a healthy forest. |
