COUNTY COMMISSIONER RODNEY A. DE VORE was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, where he attended public schools before earning a full academic scholarship to William Paterson University.  Commissioner De Vore married his high school sweetheart, Dr. Deanna De Vore, and together they have raised two wonderful children in their hometown.

With over three decades of experience in education, Commissioner De Vore currently serves as the Dean of Students and Discipline Coordinator at Passaic County Technical Vocational Schools.  His commitment to public service also extends to his work with Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter, whom he has supported since her first election in 2012.

Passaic County has always been home to Commissioner De Vore, and he remains deeply committed to improving the community that shaped him.  He is passionate about ensuring that children have the resources needed to succeed both academically and personally.  At the same time, he is dedicated to supporting senior citizens by advocating for access to essential resources during their golden years.  Commissioner De Vore is also an advocate for upgrading infrastructure and fair government in Passaic County.

Commissioner De Vore looks forward to continuing his service to the residents of Passaic County and building on the great progress already made.
