Any map filed in the County Clerk’s Office must contain the following:

  1. Name of Map, municipality and county NJSA. 46:26B-2(b)(10)
  2. Date of survey NJSA. 46:26B-2(b)(11)
  3. Map must be endorsed with a certificate signed by the clerk or secretary of the planning board, stating that the map has been approved or is exempt from approval by the proper authority and complies with the provisions of the Map Filing Law and must designate the day on or before which said map is required to be filed.   4. Certificate showing the signature of the municipal clerk is required if a bond is given guaranteeing the future setting of monuments shown on the map.

  5. Certification signed and sealed by the municipal engineer and stating that the map conforms with the requirements of the Map Filing Law. NJSA46:26B-2(15)
  6. Certification signed and sealed by the licensed land surveyor stating that the map conforms with promulgated requirements of the State Board of Land Surveyors and with the Map Filing Law requirements. NJSA 46:26B-2(b)(12)(A)
  7. The standard sizes accepted are: 8½” x13″, 24″x36″, 30″x42″, 11″ x17″, 18″x24″or 15″x21″. Thickness of mylar copies is at least 4 mils. N.J.S.A. 46:26A-5(d)
  8. One original translucent mylar and one translucent mylar copy are required for filing of map. N.J.S.A. 46:26A-5(d)

Fee for filing is $55.00 for each filed map submitted.
